Leicester City are finally looking to add some new players to their squad as they hold talks to sign Jeremie Boga from Atalanta and Wout Faes from Reims.
The Foxes have spent around £70m selling Wesley Fofana to Chelsea and aim to reinvest at least some of that money into the squad.
The Athletic report that Atalanta’s former Chelsea winger Boga has been targeted and talks are underway between the Premier League and Serie A sides.
The 25-year-old was a Chelsea man from 2009 to 2018, despite making just one league game for the Blues and spending time on loan at Rennes, Granada and Birmingham.
He started to impress after making a permanent move to Sassuolo in 2018 and joining Atalanta earlier this year despite falling out of favor in the first-team.
Faes is a 24-year-old centre-back who plays at Reims in France and is being considered as a replacement for Fofana in defence.
He was Ligue 1’s Player of the Season last season, but his only playing experience came in Belgium, the Netherlands and France, earning one cap for Belgium.
So far it’s been a pretty bleak summer for Leicester in the transfer market as Alex Smithies was their only signing when the goalkeeper arrived on a free transfer from Cardiff.
Losing Fofana and the influential Kasper Schmeichel, they could sell Youri Tielemans before the end of Thursday night’s transfer window if Arsenal and Liverpool are interested.
