Sassuolo CEO Dishes on Berardi, Explains Scamacca Deal

Giovanni Carnevale, chief executive of Sassuolo, assessed the crowded window and gave a medical update on Domenico Berardi, who missed the Milan match with an apparent thigh injury.

He is still undergoing examinations, but they are less serious than initially feared. He will be out for about a month.”

The CEO discussed their moves to sky (Across Tuttomercatoweb).

We have completed many important transactions. I am happy to sell Gianluca Scamaca to a Premier League club. It is a great satisfaction and an opportunity for us to have a vision in England. No Serie A team requested him this summer, while PSG inquired. We had to turn them down because we basically dealt with West Ham at that point. I think it’s the right next step for him, too. We have also invested a lot. We managed to do things beforehand, otherwise they would have been much more difficult.”

Karnevale dining at Berardi is back in Sassuolo.

“He’s our best purchase of the season. He signed a five-year extension. He had some requests but we did everything we could to keep him. He will be a reference point for the newcomers.”

The Niroverdi He made an unsuccessful late attempt on Hector Bellerin, which the official jokingly commented on.

“We lost the race because of Barcelona. Let it be.”

Carnevali commented on the recent two additions from Sassuolo, Armand Laurienté and Janis Antiste, which will be helpful, especially with Berardi improving.

“The first was one of our most important goals because we lost Hamed Traore on the left wing. It was not an easy deal as there was competition. We did not start well in terms of injuries this season. We hope they stop.”
