Manchester United have revealed the squad numbers that will take over their two most recent signings this season, with Antony and Martin Dubravka joining their new team-mates.
Antony arrived from Ajax while Dubravka was loaned out from Newcastle on transfer deadline day while Erik ten Hag is building a new squad at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian winger wears the number 21 at his new club while the goalkeeper will wear the number 31 as he supports David de Gea.
The number 21 has been worn by a number of other South American stars at Old Trafford, most recently Edinson Cavani before leaving the club on a free transfer at the end of last season.
Full-back Rafael da Silva also had the number from 2008 to 2012 after Diego Forlan wore the 21 during his stint with the Red Devils.
United noted that a number of other players wore 21s over the years, with Henning Berg being a highlight but Fangzhou Dong being fairly forgotten.
Dubravka’s shirt number has been worn by the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini, Darren Fletcher and Nemanja Matic.
Both Antony and Dubravka are available to make their debuts against Arsenal at Old Trafford at 4.30pm on Sunday, which the goalkeeper is very unlikely to do, but the winger is hoping to get his first action in a United shirt.
The Red Devils have enjoyed three straight wins after beating Liverpool, Southampton and Leicester but after narrow 1-0 wins in their last two games Antony could get his chance to shine under Ten Hag straight away.
