Uruguay Talent Eyes Inter Return After First Serie A Goal

On loan from Inter, Martin Satriano scored his first goal for Empoli against Salernitana – in what, by chance, turned out to be his first ever in Serie A. opener. His vital contribution finally proved to Azurewho settled a 2-2 draw at Stadio Arechi in Salerno.

After his impressive performance, the young man spoke to the press at the post-match conference (via FC Inter 1908).

“We had a good game, I said the goal would come and I managed to achieve that today. Playing here in Salerno is not easy, we underestimated ourselves after the advantage but our team has a big heart. We have many strong strikers and we will score many goals.”

Satriano then revealed his intention to return to Inter as an improved player, after last season was spent off the pitch by Simone Inzaghi.

“The Nerazzurri have many stars, they are doing well and I wanted to play. I am young, I have to play for more minutes and hit the net more times, then I want to come back.”

A graduate of the Uruguayan giants Nacional, Satriano moved to Inter in the 2020 winter transfer window. He spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan at French club Brest before moving to Empoli.
