Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk has confirmed he wants to join Arsenal in January and would find it impossible to turn down a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners have expressed interest in signing Shakhtar and Ukraine star Mudryk during the summer transfer window, while Premier League club Everton have also been linked with a move.
Mudryk established himself as a key player in Shakhtar’s squad last season, scoring in the club’s impressive 4-1 Champions League win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.
Arsenal could rekindle their interest in Mudryk in January as Mikel Arteta is still keen to strengthen his squad in that area of the pitch.
Mudryk admits securing a move to the Premier League would be a ‘dream’ and says he would find it impossible to turn down a move to Arsenal.
“We’ll see in the winter,” Mudryk told CBS Sports when asked about his future. “There has been a lot of discussion about a transfer and speculation about which clubs want me.
“But it’s normal. Right now I’m in Shakhtar and I want to play in this team, I love this team, I love every guy in this team. Shakhtar is my home now.
“It’s important that all my thoughts are with Shakhtar now – but we’ll see in the winter.”
When asked if his dream was to move to the Premier League and possibly join Arsenal, he added: “Yes, yes. I think every player dreams of the Premier League.
“It’s hard to say, but Arsenal are a very good team, a very good manager. I like the way they play. From my side I can’t say no [to Arsenal] but a transfer is not solely my decision.’
