Nice and Cologne back to back

In a chaotic context, this European League Conference match between OGC Nice and Cologne started. As a reminder, the meeting was postponed for about an hour (from 6:45 pm to 7:40 pm) due to violent clashes between the fans of the two teams that resulted in two seriously injured people, one of whom was stabbed. Sad scene in the stands did not prevent the start of the match. At home, Niswa quickly surprised visitors. It was German striker Stephen Tegues who opened the scoring in this meeting (17).

Upon returning from the locker room, the team led by Lucien Favre ended up in a draw. Andy Delort converted a penalty awarded to his teammate Laborde (1-1, 62). The former Reigns wasn’t far from Eagles’ second goal after a few seconds but saw the crossbar block his shot (63rd). The result will not move anymore. Nice began its European campaign with a draw at home. But we will especially remember the sad flood that still spoiled the party on Thursday night…
