Lens does the job against Troyes and takes the lead

Ligue 1 returned on Friday with the opening game of the seventh day of Ligue 1. On the programme, RC Lens at home welcomed Troyes. Whoever said Lens was at home obviously said the Bollaert DeLis Stadium was sold out. On the pitch, Frank Hayes trusted his striker Ubanda-Sutoka-da Costa trio while Sekou Fofana was on the bench at the start. On the side of the Trojan formation, we particularly found Adil Rami in the center of defense in the fifth. Unsurprisingly, the RC Lens clearly dominated the game. In a frenzy, Sang et Or pushed to open the registry and Lois Openda soon found the post (sixth). It is enough to put pressure on the notoriously quiet Trojan defense.

In a few minutes it may be the reality of the first period match. In acceleration, Gradette was violently jostled at the entrance to the deck (tenth) and was hit in the shoulder. It’s not enough to report a bug as judged or according to VAR technology while the angry Lensois seat demanded something. In the process, the defender, in a new duel, fell back onto his shoulder. A new fall forced him out this time due to injury. And at the break, Lensois staff announced at the Prime Video microphone that the 29-year-old had a broken collarbone. For the rest, in the first chapter, RC Lens logically ended up opening the scoring just before the break thanks to Danso putting in an unstoppable header (1-0, 40).

Lens of the new leader

When they came back from the locker room, Linsu returned with the same intentions and he could also count on their captain Seiko Fofana returning. The Ivorian international replaced Pureba very early in the match. So inevitably, Frank Hayes’ men pressed for the break and Fofana didn’t shy away from scoring with his first shot. But his shot was stopped by the Trojan defense with difficulty. For their part, Mama Baldi’s classmates continued to confront them and sometimes managed to get chances. Guinea-Bissau striker Bryce Samba was forced to lie down with a nice shot (59th place).

In the last quarter of an hour of play, Troy was finally starting to break out of his camp to try to equalise. Because Lensois still couldn’t rest because of the irresistible Gauthier Gallon who twice saved his people (69, 72). Mama Baldi, he just missed the equalizer (81). But despite the few chances for both sides, the outcome will not move. RC Lens has already achieved its fifth success of the season and is thus top of the championship while clearly waiting for the PSG and OM matches.
