Giallorossi Return to Winning Ways

After last week’s disappointing loss to Udinese and Ludogorets, Roma are finally back to win. Jose Mourinho’s team topped Empoli 2-1 in Castellani to take fifth place in the table after six rounds.

Paulo Dybala scored in the 17th minute With a superb stroke, he left no chance for Guglielmo Vicario. The hosts will get a tie before the break. Filippo Bandinelli equalized the result with a header with a cross from Petar Stojanovic. The visitors, however, would get the three points, as Dybala fired a perfect shot at Tammy Abraham, the Englishman, who netted.

The win would allow Roma to return to the European places in these early stages of the season. Empoli is still winless, although the defeat was Tuscany’s second loss so far.

Roma host Finland champions HJK Helsinki in the Europa League on Thursday, looking to collect their first three points in Europe this season. The defending European champions inexplicably lost to Ludogorets last week on Thursday in the opening match.
