Cassano Bashes Cristiano Ronaldo, Haaland and Totti

Antonio Cassano has turned into a brilliant critic in recent years and has hit many current and former players while participating in “Wild Moss” Podcast hosted by Fedez and Luis Sal (via Corriere della Sera).

“You can like Cristiano Ronaldo or not, and I don’t like that, but I have a lot of respect for him and his profession. However, you have to quit at some point, and he has to do it now because he’s a player on the bench.”

“Erling Haaland is a cross between Adriano and Christian Vieri. But he doesn’t really know how to play. Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema can dream about the ball. He’s just a great goalscorer. Filippo Inzaghi was similar, but he had exceptional teammates.”

The former striker weighed on Giorgio Chiellini.

“He is one of my best friends and a very cultured person. But he treated you rough in games and in practice. Plus he cheated with you and with the referee. He provoked my red card because I slapped him. I constantly insulted him on the field, but then we hugged him even though my ankles were always sore after confronting him.

Cassano described his feud with Francesco Totti.

“I joined Roma because he was there and Juve refused. We had a great relationship for two seasons, then we argued and didn’t talk for four years. He made ten times what I earned from TV appearances, and I thought he cheated on me. I eventually found out it wasn’t right.”

“In 2004, Vincenzo Montella and I were about to extend. They made an agreement without informing me before the death of President Franco Sensi. His daughter offered me half of the amount I had previously agreed to. I moved to Real Madrid a year later.”
